Welcome to Young Talent
In this area we publish the shots that Margo and Arno take.
As a ballet dancer, painter and photographer, Margo clearly is an artist. She takes a keen interest in textures as well as movement for example and has an excellent feel for the moment. She has had her (uniquely pink) camera for several years and has captured a lot of truly amazing photographs. By now she is truly ready for a "real" camera.

Likewise, Arno has taken an interest in photography and shows a lot of promise in the way he looks through the lens. He truly has a great eye for perspective and has created some astonishing "blurry" images that look surprisingly mature. He is fast approaching the point where he thinks before he shoots, which is really nice to observe.

Arno and Margo have both evolved their photography by bounds and leaps. You can see the maturity already just by looking at the images below over several years.

Here we are: another year has passed and we are still photographing strong. This year we're having a nice long vacation and Arno and Margo both have their own cameras. Hopefully this will become an infliction point for their respective crafts. More soon ...

Progress! Both Margo and Arno have gotten better this year. They shoot less randomly and there are a couple of nice ideas such as throwing your feet in the air and snapping the picture. It is really nice to see that they are moving along and we gave Arno a nicer camera for his birthday that is also fully waterproof. Expect to see many good results next year as we begin to swim on the weekends.

We have continued to operate with the same equipment as in past years. Under normal circumstances, one would argue that it is not the camera, but rather the eye that distinguished excellent photographers from the rest of us. In our case, I beg to differ as Cartier-Bresson would not have been able to shot a decent image with the hardware we are still using. Well, maybe it is soon time to reconsider that. Both Margo and Arno have had a good eye for framing and they continue to show an avid interest.
2012 Photos
We definitely have two young photographers in the family by now! The following images are from both: Margo and Arno. I had initially called this "Margo's Corner", which obviously did not do justice to Arno's contribution. Anyway, here are the shots from 2012. There are quite a few interesting ones and the talent comes through in many of them.

This year, we post the first images from Arno along with those of Margo. Both use pretty rudimentary cameras designed to withstand impact rather than image quality. We were thankful for it as these little devices took more than their fair share of beatings ... It is unfortunately impossible to distinguish who shot what given that all equipment is really communal property around here.

It is Margo's second year as a photographer and she continues to develop both her skill and perspective. These images illustrate that it is high time for a few serious outings with her.

This is Margo's first year as a photographer and the results are phenomenal for a three-year old artist.
