Strangers Project
I have been itching to do the Strangers Project for a while now. Basically, the challenge is to photograph 100 strangers in a given period of time - until the end of the year in my case. Initiating a conversation with people I don't know is a great way to train myself for close-up street photography. I am using a 35mm lens, rather than a longer one, to force these really tight shots and, at the same time, it is paying off in that I can capture some of the surroundings, too.
The images posted here all show people whom I have never met before and have explicitly asked for a portrait. To be fair, I have given everyone my email so that they can get a copy of their image, if they'd like.

Occupations
This second iteration of strangers aims to not just capture the individual, but also what it is they do. I am now trying to always take an image of someone in the process of doing something and then take a portrait as well.
Early Portraits
These were my first couple of attempts at capturing strangers. Some are well captured while others are not perfect, yet. So we keep on going ...
